We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power Electronics Design Lead to join our R&D group in Krakow, Poland. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the development of low-voltage AC-DC, DC-DC, and DC-AC power converters. Power Electronics Design Lead 


You will be responsible for:

  • Designing AC-DC, DC-DC, and DC-AC power converters.
  • Selecting topology and power components.
  • Understanding technical specifications at the system and module levels.
  • Simulating power electronics topologies using tools like MATLAB, PSIM, and LTSpice.
  • Conducting design calculations and creating product design documentation.
  • Developing test plans for converters and inverters.
  • Designing EMI filters for power supplies.
  • Testing and troubleshooting power supply boards.
  • Thriving in a fast-paced, goal-oriented product development environment.
  • Participating in hardware architecture development and reviewing design specifications with cross-functional teams.
  • Providing support to Production, Service, Test, and Sales teams throughout the product development lifecycle, including post-engineering support.

We require:

  • Fluency in English,
  • Hands-on experience with power devices such as IGBT, SiC, MOSFET, and current protection.
  • Previous involvement in at least one project involving power electronics design, control, and testing.
  • Industrial experience with power converters and/or control software is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of magnetics, especially transformers, is a plus.
  • Proficiency in simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, and PSCAD.
  • Power device characterization.
  • A goal-oriented mindset with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Experience with PCB design for high-power applications using tools like Cadence OrCAD 17.4, Altium 19, or the latest.
  • Estimation of losses in power semiconductors and thermal management.
  • Knowledge of high-frequency magnetics design.
  • Familiarity with EMC standards and testing.
  • Hands-on experience in filter design and component selection for EMC.
  • Knowledge of pre-compliance and compliance testing is preferred.
  • Experience working in an Agile development team is an advantage.
