Electromechanic (Outdoor)
Job Description
Outdoor electromechanical work involving maintenance and installation. NEN certification is mandatory for this role.
Work is carried out outside – living in Tilburg, working in Sprundel.
For an Electromechanic (especially in the Sprundel/Tilburg outdoor role), the position is a blend of electrical engineering, mechanical repair, and on-site troubleshooting. Since NEN certificates are required, safety and regulatory compliance are at the heart of the daily routine.
Here are the main duties:
System Integration: Installing and connecting complex electromechanical systems, including motors, pumps, conveyor belts, and sensors.
Electrical Wiring: Reading circuit diagrams and wiring control panels, switchgear, and distribution boards according to NEN standards.
Mechanical Mounting: Fitting mechanical components, aligning drive shafts, and ensuring all physical assemblies are secure and calibrated.
Preventive Maintenance: Conducting scheduled checks on machinery to prevent breakdowns and extend the lifespan of equipment.
Troubleshooting: Identifying faults in both electrical circuits (using multimeters and oscilloscopes) and mechanical parts (identifying wear, vibration, or misalignment).
Testing: Performing functional tests after repairs to ensure systems operate safely and efficiently.
Safety Inspections: Carrying out inspections (such as NEN 3140) to ensure electrical installations are safe for use.
Reporting: Documenting all technical findings, parts used, and safety certificates issued after a job is completed.
Risk Management: Working safely in outdoor environments, ensuring proper grounding, and using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Component Replacement: Replacing faulty sensors, relays, PLC modules, and mechanical bearings.
Fine-Tuning: Adjusting limit switches, pressure valves, and motor speeds to optimize system performance.
Outdoor Adaptation: Ensuring electrical cabinets and connections are properly sealed and weather-proofed against the Dutch elements.
